Royal Ulster Rifles Living history group

Royal Ulster Rifles Living history group, which consists of 10 members, attending various military shows in East Anglia. The aim of our group is to promote the Royal Ulster Rifles, and of course the great sacrifice made by the men of the regiment during the Normany landings, and subsequent campaigns in North-West Europe. We also do this by educational talks to children.

In February 1914, an ex-soldier in Belfast sat down to write a letter, asking what the job prospects were in Canada. He'd heard that fellow Irishman George McSpadden was forming a militia in Vancouver and wondered if there might be a job there.
